Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Delhi

You will arrive at the Delhi International Airport. Delhi is India’s national capital and the second largest metropolis after Mumbai. Delhi has been continuously inhabited since the 6th century BC. Through most of its history, Delhi has served as a capital of various kingdoms and empires. It has been captured, ransacked and rebuilt several times, particularly during the medieval period, and modern Delhi is a cluster of a number of cities spread across the metropolitan region.An overnight stay in Delhi.

Day 2 Delhi

On your first day, you will explore the old and new city of Delhi. You’ll be mesmerized by the 100-feet, red-stone boundary walls of Red Fort built during the 17th century. Opposite to this ancient structure is Jama Masjid (Mosque), built in 1656 AD, construction of red sandstone and white marble. It is the largest mosque in India where 20,000 people can pray together at a time. You will also tour the city in a Rickshaw. Along the streets of old Delhi you will see the Raj Ghat, Mahatma Gandhi (Father of the Nation) Memorial, which is close to the river Yamuna. Next, you will visit Humayun’s Tomb, tomb of the second Mughal emperor, which was built by his wife during the 16th century, and then you will visit Qutub Minar, a 220-feet tower made by one of the first Muslim leaders in India, built between 1199 and 1368 AD. It runs counter to Rashtrapati Bhawan, the residence of the President of India. There you’ll also see the Government Buildings, Parliament. An overnight stay at Delhi.

Day 3 Drive from Delhi to Hissar and return to Delhi

Today in the morning after breakfat, you will drive to Hissar. Upon arrival, you will visit Haryana Agriculture University. You will also visit the well laid farms of farmers where methods are being developed for transfer of technology from conventional methods of farming. Return to Delhi. An overnight stay in Delhi.

Day 4 Drive from Delhi to Ludhiana

In the morning after breakfast, you will depart for Karnal. You will visit the National Dairy Research Institute and attend a general lecture on Dairy Farming in India by an expert of the Institute. Thereafter proceed to Ludhiana. Upon arrival you will check into the hotel. An overnight stay in Ludhiana.

Day 5 Half day sightseeing of Ludhiana and train to Delhi

In the morning after breakfast, you will visit the Agriculture University which is one of the top ranked universities of Agriculture in India. Research is done in all fields of farming and Dairy farming. Later, transfer to board train for Delhi. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to hotel. An overnight stay in Delhi.

Day 6 Drive from Delhi to Agra

In the morning after breakfast, you will drive to Agra.On the way, you will visit Sikandra, the amazing grave of Akbar, the most influential of all Mughal emperors. The grave lies 10 km before Agra. Agra is placed on the deposits of the Yamuna River and was under the Mughal rulers during the 16th and 17th centuries.
After arrival in Agra, transfer to hotel.
Later, you will visit Agra Fort at the west bank of the Yamuna River. The Agra fort was built in the 16th century by Akbar and was completed by his grandsons. Then, you will visit Itmad-ud-daula, also known as baby Taj. Finally you will see Taj Mahal, but now this time from the other side of the river, from the place called Mehtab Bagh. An overnight stay in Agra.

Day 7 Taj by Sunrise and drive from Agra to Jaipur (240 km, 4.5 hours) / Visit of Fatehpur Sikri.

At sunrise, you will visit the world-famous Taj Mahal (built from 1631-1653 A.D). A poem in white marble it was built by Mughal ruler Shah Jahan for his deceased wife Mumtaz Mahal. Its extravagant architecture reveals its secret of being one of the Seven Wonders of the World. 20,000 workers with experts from Italy, France, Iran and Asia were busied for 22 years with the monument.Return to hotel for breakfast.
After the breakfast, you will proceed to Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, which is also popularly known as “Pink City” because of its pink houses’ frontal façade and metropolis fence. On the way, you will visit Fatehpur Sikri (UNESCO World Heritage Site), which is 36 km from Agra, the other large city of Akbar, built in 1569. Akbar shifted his cap to Fatehpur Sikri, but after 13 years due to the scarcity of water, it was shifted to Lahore in Pakistan and back again to Agra.
Then drive to Jaipur and upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. An overnight stay in Jaipur.
Note: The Taj Mahal is closed on Friday.

Day 8 Full day sightseeing of Jaipur

After an early breakfast you will drive to fort Amber (10 km), the former capital of Kachhawaha Rajputs. On the way, you will stop to visit the city’s landmark: the Hawa Mahal (palace of the winds). Built during the 18th century, the five-story building features 953 windows and niches from which the royal women observed the procession in the street without being seen. Next you will visit Amber fort, which lies on 400-foot-tall hill and is surrounded by the chain of mountains known as Aravalli. You will ascend the fort on an elephant back like a Maharaja. Then you will visit Albert Museum.
Afternoon you will visit the Pink city Jaipur. The City Palace, built in 1734, lies in the center of Jaipur and is now the residence of the royal family of Jaipur and a beautiful museum. An overnight stay at Jaipur.

Day 9 Flight from Jaipur to Udaipur

In the morning after breakfast, you will be transferred to airport to board flight for Udaipur. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to hotel. In the evening, you will visit the City Palace, Jagdish Temple and drive around Fatehsagar Lake, Sahelion ki Bari (Queen’s resort for her friends) and Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandir (Folk art Museum). An overnight stay in Udaipur.

Day 10 Udaipur

In the morning after breakfast, you will visit the Agriculture University where research is on Crops and Dairy farming is done. Afternoon boat ride on Lake Pichola and visit Jag Niwas Palace built in the middle of the lake. Visit Borra Mahal, Khas Mahal and the courts, gardens and fountains. An overnight stay in Udaipur.

Day 11 Drive from Udaipur to Ahmedabad

In the morning after breakfast, you will drive to Ahmedabad by surface. Upon arrival, you will check-into the hotel.
In the evening, you will visit the magnificent Mosque of Siddi Sayyed with its exquisite stone carvings, the beautiful Jama Masjid, White marbled Hathee Singh’s temple, and hirable, Shading minarets, Calico Textile museum and Sabarmati Ashram started by Mahatama Gandhi. An overnight stay in Ahmedabad.

Day 12 Ahmedabad

In the morning you will visit Anand Dairy, noted for its modern plant & machinery. Started in 1955, it is supplied by over 3000 village societies of the Kaira District. Transfer to airport to board flight for Mumbai. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to hotel. An overnight stay in Mumbai.

Day 13 Mumbai

In the morning after breakfast, you will visit the Elephanta Caves, dedicated to Lord Shiva. The famous sculpture signifying the trinity of the creator, the preserver and the destroyer is located here. In the evening, you will visit the Prince of Wales Museum, Gateway of India, Hanging Gardens, Main Bahaman and Dhabi Hat. Also drive past Afghan church, Flora Fountain, colorful Crawford market and Marine Drive. An overnight stay in Mumbai.

Day 14 Departure from Mumbai/Delhi

In the morning after breakfast, you will be transferred to International airport to board flight for onward destination.
